Since 1983, the American Institute for Preventive Medicine has been internationally recognized for its ability to present health information and programs in ways that increase engagement, motivation, and behavior change. 

Our expertise in reducing healthcare costs and absenteeism, while increasing productivity, has helped over 13,000 organizations. AIPM programs have received awards from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Health and Human Services, President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, and Association for Worksite Health Promotion. 

AIPM is one of the first five companies to receive URAC Accreditation for Comprehensive Wellness. Achievement of this status demonstrates a company has met or exceeded industry recognized standards for wellness programs. Accredited companies must demonstrate they use evidence– based tools and interventions.

Cassie Sobelton

Cassie Sobelton is a best selling author, health & wellness expert, television personality and Huffington Post contributor. In addition to a B.S. Degree from Central Michigan University in both Psychology and Sociology, Cassie participated in extensive training programs, such as the University of Michigan Leadership in Operations program and the Detroit Medical Center Leadership Academy; as well as receiving degrees / certificates in the following disciplines: Health Coach from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition, Registered Yoga Teacher from Yoga Alliance; Laughter Yoga Instructor, NLP Practitioner, the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) Trainer Program; and Raw Food Teacher, Nutritionist and Chef

Joel Kahn, MD

Dr. Joel Kahn is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Wellness, Michigan Healthcare Professionals PC. He practices at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and Troy. He is a graduate Summa Cum Laude of the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He lectures widely on the cardiac benefits of vegan nutrition and mind body practices. Coined “America’s Heart Doc” by Reader’s Digest, he is a nationally known Preventative Cardiologist, GreenSpace Cafe Vegan Restaurant Owner, Best Selling Author, PBS Host, Television Personality, MindBodyGreen and Huffington Post Contributor.

Preya Shah

Preya Shah is an author, world traveler and alternative modality expert. She earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan before she set off on a journey to understand different healing modalities from around the world. This personal passage resulted in years of studying Yoga in India, Herbal Medicine in Bali, and Holistic Medicine in Japan, which lead to a deep level of healing and connection to her true self. It’s from this profound desire to understand authentic healing, that Preya’s specialty of Mind, Body, and Spirit holistic integration has blossomed.

Tom Anderson

For over a decade, Tom Anderson has served as Director of Wellness and Work Life for Compuware Corporation, a global provider of software and IT services. Tom has a hard-earned reputation in the fitness industry—and beyond—as a committed, skilled and energetic professional. Through an extensive history of conducting informative and motivational workshops for corporations, instructors and individuals, he has developed a unique insight into the most effective current—and future—wellness approaches. Tom has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years and his primary focus has always been to help people visualize and achieve a balance between their health, life and career.

Dave Lesinksi

Dave Lesinski was an award winning teacher who co-created a therapeutic classroom program for severely emotional disabled children by using traditional teaching methods coupled with a spiritual practice to facilitate positive behavioral and academic change. Dave found his passion as a Yoga instructor, yoga teacher trainer and Ayurvedic Practitioner, which lead him to the combining of the melding of his specialties to support people in gaining the knowledge and strategies needed to bring more peace, happiness and harmony into their lives while blending the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with their modern lifestyle. Dave has a strong belief that disease of any kind can be prevented using natural and holistic techniques.

Julie Booksh

Julie Booksh is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, EFT Practitioner, and Wellness Speaker who works with clients to address relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem, using evidenced-based theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while incorporating Energy Psychology techniques, including EFT, to foster healing and personal transformation. An expert in body-mind-spirit integration, Julie promotes health and healing of the whole person by working with the emotional aspects of physical issues. Julie facilitates engaging workshops on Stress Management, Conflict Resolution, Relationships, and the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to corporate and private groups, as well as working with couples to fostering intimacy, constructive conflict resolution, and emotional awareness.
